Join in the action as hundreds of Vikings from all over the world descend on the city for the nine-day programme, for 25th Annual JORVIK Viking Festival, which will include Vikings fighting in ferocious and bloody battle; a spectacular celebratory fireworks display and boat burning; a newly commissioned theatre piece from one of the North's most admired theatre groups and an atmospheric candlelit evening of poetry and music performed for the Viking King in York Minster.

Get face to face with Vikings. Everything in JORVIK Viking Centre is based on archaeological evidence unearthed during the Coppergate excavations undertaken between 1979–81 by York Archaeological Trust.
