A visit to the Museum wouldn't be the same without a visit to the giant IMAX cinema where you'll have a film experience like no other. In pictureville & Cubby Broccoli cinemas you'll enjoy a unique film offering.
Permanent Galleries
Journey through the history of photography, from its early origins to the digital images of the present day, and find out about the role of photography within society. Go behind the scenes in a tour of Insight - and see some amazing objects from our collection that aren't out on permanent display.
Walk into a replica studio, find out how television is made and try your hand at reading the news or presenting the weather. Iconic televisions and studio cameras sit alongside Wallace & Gromit and the Play School Toys.
Eatch over 900 British television programmes from our archive spanning from the 1950s onwards. These include classic comedies, childhood favourites, soaps, hard hitting documentaries, memorable plays, dramas and much more.
Examine the work of film producer David Puttnam. View a selection of Lord Puttnam's awards including a real Oscar for Chariots of Fire, a BAFTA and the Palme d'Or. Get close-up to our IMAX projectors and find out how IMAX really works as you watch the projectionists at work.
