We're more than just a fishy experience. With your all day ticket you can come and go and enjoy your day out in Maryport.
Our café is part of the aquarium building but like the gift shop, mini golf and boat pool is accessible to the general public, not just ticket holders. The location is amazing, with views overlooking the harbour and out across the Solway to Scotland on clear days. If the weather allows there are picnic tables and a patio, allowing us to seat 60+ customers at any one time so we can cope with coaches on all but the busiest days.
Our gift shop has a huge range of unique products to suit all ages. Whether its a cuddly toy or home furnishing you are looking for. We have educational books aswell as unique fishy story books.
The gift shop is open to all the public, no ticket is required.
Try your hand at Powerboat racing!! The very latest in radio control boats for you to show how good a navigator you are. Cool `Supercruisers` each have their own console and an island and some jetties to test your manoeuvering skills. Suitable for ages 5-100! Also in the all weather cabin is an `aquablasta` water game. You aim at the targets with your water cannon and create the action! A real hit with kids of all ages.
Right next door to the aquarium, this Adventure playground is based on a nautical theme with shipwrecks, slides and even an aerial ropeway. It is suitable for 5-15 year olds. This Playground is owned and financed by Maryport Developments and is FREE to all visitors.
This latest addition to the list of other activities on site is proving really popular. The fourteen hole course faces two sides of the aquarium, with the last hole parallel to the dock. It is suitable for all ages as the holes vary in degrees of skill or luck required. Infants accompanying families are free and given plastic clubs to torment their elders with! Prices are attractive, £2.50 for adults and £1.75 for children.
Closed only on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
