University of York Jazz Band featuring Rob Lavers presents Get Shorter Rob Lavers - tenor and soprano saxophones Matt Postle - trumpet and flugelhorn Dave Morecroft - piano Mike Monument - double bass Simon Roth - drums
new ensemble led by Simon Roth and Dave Morecroft and featuring talented members of the University's Jazz Orchestra. The evening's focus is on the great saxophonist Wayne Shorter, with new arrangements of his music and original compositions inspired by some of his finest albums, including Juju, Speak No Evil and Beyond the Sound Barrier.
