About York Archaeological Trust
All our three main venues offer events from tours and exhibitions to Medieval Mysteries and Christmas Fayres.
Jorvik - Travel back in time through the reconstructed Viking city of Jorvik, on the site where archaeologists found the original city.
DIG - Grab a trowel and dig to see what you can find in DIG's specially designed excavation pits.
Barley Hall - An exceptional historic house once home to the Priors of Nostell and the Mayor of York. Visitors can make themselves at home and sit on the chairs and handle the objects and experience what it would have been like to live in Medieval England.
